Upload a video and get free, practical pointers on what to change, each tied to a moment in the film.

Your video

2

What do you need this video to do?

3

Where will it run? (optional)

Your video is never used to train AI or stored by Casual. It's deleted straight after the read, and your report is kept for 30 days.

Built on Storypulse™

Storypulse™ is the method Casual uses to judge whether a film will hold attention, be remembered and move people. The assessor watches and listens to your whole film through those three lenses, then checks it against what you told us it's for and where it will run.

Attention

Does the film earn its opening seconds and keep earning them? Where will people drift or scroll away?

Memory

Will people remember who made it and the one thing it says? Brand, product and message placement, and the moments that stick.

Emotion

Are there real human moments, with faces, voices and stakes, and do they land where they carry the message?

Edit now

Fixes that need new footage, new interviews or new performances.

Next film

Lessons to brief into your next production, so the next one starts stronger.

Why there's no score

A single number can't tell you what to change, and it invites arguments about the number instead of the film. You get ranked fixes, each tied to a moment you can find in the edit, so you know exactly what to do first.

Questions

Is the Video Assessor free?

Yes. You get your top three fixes straight away. Add your work email to see the full report: every fix, what already works, platform advice, cut-down ideas and title ideas. You can run up to three videos a day.

What videos can I upload?

MP4 or MOV files up to 2 GB, or a public or unlisted YouTube link. It works best on finished films under ten minutes: brand films, product films, recruitment films, sales films, training films and social cuts. A big file takes a few minutes to upload. If yours is over 2 GB, export an MP4 or upload it to YouTube as unlisted.

Do you keep my video or use it to train AI?

No. Your video is never used to train AI, and Casual never stores it. It's deleted straight after the read, and an upload you leave before the read is deleted automatically within 48 hours. Your report is kept for 30 days so you can come back to it, then it's deleted.

Can I upload a film we made for a client?

Only if you have the right to share it. If you're an agency, check your contract first. When in doubt, use a YouTube link to a film that's already public.

Why doesn't it give my video a score?

A single number can't tell you what to change. The assessor gives ranked fixes instead, each tied to a moment in your film, so you know exactly what to do first.

How does it work?

Google's Gemini model watches and listens to your whole film, guided by Storypulse™, the method our producers use to judge whether a film will hold attention, be remembered and move people. Every fix is checked against the film's real length before you see it.

How accurate is it?

It can still miss things, and it says so when it can't see or hear something clearly. Treat it as a sharp first opinion. If you'd like a person to look, ask a producer.

Is this a video analyser?

Yes. It analyses your video and tells you what to change. It's built for marketing and business videos rather than sports or security footage.
